Similar report but very different GPU:
- GTX 970 high power draw at idle with multiple monitors enabled
- High idle power draw RTX 2070 Super
- Abnormal idle power draw w/ dual monitor if both displays >= 100Hz
- High power draw with 3 or more monitors
Previously, I had 3 monitors attached (dual monitor for desktop + TV for gaming) with the third monitor (TV) turned off most of the time. Still, this setup had GPU idle power at 70W but at least it switched power levels.
Now I added a forth monitor, and idle power consumption sits at 107W idle, no matter if the monitors are turned off. So even if the monitors are turned off (which is detected by the desktop), power consumption stays high without any change.
