Hi,
I noticed my triple screen consumes 50W while idle which seems odd as the card only consume only 10W with one screen.
My specs:
GPU: RTX 4090
Screens: ROG XG27AQM x3 (2560x1440 @ 270 Hz in 27″ [External])
Drivers: nvidia (proprietary) 560.31.02 (GSP OFF)
DE: KDE Plasma 6.1.4
WM: KWin
Distro: Arch
My tests run under Wayland and X11 (KDE Plasma 6) while IDLE (nothing on, just a terminal to run nvidia-smi):
- 1 screen: 10 / 12W
- 2 screens: 45W
- 3 screens: 50W
Lowering the refresh rate and playing with the VRR settings had no impact on consumption whatsoever.
Are those consumption aligned to what they are supposed to be?
