how to change caffe to GPU mode on jetpack4.2

I was install jetpack4.2 on my Nvidia tx2 ,and I find caffe has been installed,but when I run is https://github.com/NVIDIA/DIGITS/blob/master/examples/classification/example.py

def classify_image(image_files, use_gpu=True):
    caffemodel = '../caffe/20151207-223900-80d9_epoch_30.0/snapshot_iter_19140.caffemodel'
    deploy_file = '../caffe/20151207-223900-80d9_epoch_30.0/deploy.prototxt'
    mean_file = '../caffe/20151207-223900-80d9_epoch_30.0/mean.binaryproto'
    labels_file = '../caffe/20151207-223900-80d9_epoch_30.0/labels.txt'

    classify(caffemodel, deploy_file, image_files,
            mean_file=mean_file, labels_file=labels_file, use_gpu=True)

it can run on cpu_mode
it say. Cannot use GPU in CPU-only Caffe: check mode. so has can I chang caffe mode to GPU_mode,how to do it.
Thank you!!

Hi,

This indicates that your Caffe doesn’t compile with GPU support.
You will need to re-compile it with GPU enable configure.

Hello AastaLLL
Thank you for your reply.
I was re re-compile caffe ,this is my Makefile.config

and I run run this code on python3

Hi,

Try this

import  caffe
caffe.set_mode_gpu()
caffe.set_device(device_id)

Thanks.

I find a caffe packages at /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages,so I remove it 。and i re-compile caffe 。It works!!

Glad to know it works, thanks for the update.
