I bought an intel i7 computer with the nvidia rtx 2080 graphic and can’t find drivers for ubuntu

but we have not had luck with the versions that we have tried
the 440.57 // 410

gives kernel error, never install

How did you install those drivers?
You never install from .run file, there are chances of breaking your system if you don’t know what you do. You use distribution packages. This is the PPA repository for Ubuntu:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa
sudo apt-get update

And then you install the latest drivers available to date:

sudo apt-get install nvidia-driver-440
