Hi there, I was wondering if linux/arm64 architecture is planned to be supported at some point for Isaac Sim? We would be really interested in such feature.
Supporting linux arm64 is current not planned for Isaac Sim
Hi @Hammad_M,
Is there any change in supporting ARM64 with Omniverse Isaac SIM?
I would like to upgrade my gear and thinking of Ampere Altra Max CPU with RTX 4000/5000 ADA gen GPU.
As I can see CUDA Toolkit is supported plus some other tools.
Any Roadmap info would be very helpful.
Thank You in advance for any info.
Actually this is the setup we have. A server with Ampere Alta Max CPU and 2 Nvidia Tesla T4. Our idea is to host the simulations in there, ideally with Nvidia Isaac Sim if they manage to support arm64 at some point.
Hi @vicmassy5,
Grace has similar CPU, so I don’t really understand what keeps NVidia NOT to support Omniverse on ARM64 server or workstation.
I know the reason, but let’s be polite here ;).
Hi @ldec - As Hammad mentioned earlier, as of now there is no plan to support Linux ARM64 on next year’s Isaac Sim roadmap.
Hi @vicmassy5 ,
Did you try docker image with qemu to run on ARM64?
I know that performance might not be at its full capability, but maybe worth to try.
Don’t know if that would work, but I would give it a try. Hopefully will have an access in couple of days to the ARM64 workstation. So can test it.
Hi @rthaker ,
Thank You for quick answer.
Seems that the only option would be to try to emulate with qemu.
