Jetpack 3.1 Package and Kernel source

Hi,

For Jetson Tx2 board, installed the jetpack 3.1 software package. After installation, where is the kernel source code with Nvidia drivers? Need to modify the kernel configuration.

what is the relation among the three packages:

  1. L4T Sources - 28.1 version
  2. L4T Jetson TX2 Driver Package - 28.1 version
  3. JetPack - 3.1 version

Need to use the jetpack 3.1 package and modify the kernel configuration. How to do this?

-Thanks.

Hi,

Whether jetpack 3.1 installation provides the kernel source in board/host computer. Otherwise,
need to install the L4T Sources - 28.1 version to get the kernel source, device tree and other files.

Please confirm.

-Thanks.

You can always install them manually. In case you don’t want to use cross-compilation and would prefer to compile the kernel natively on Jetson itself, then Jetsonhacks has a short blob on a couple of scripts which can help you to get started: http://www.jetsonhacks.com/2017/07/31/build-kernel-ttyacm-module-nvidia-jetson-tx2/
