Jetson AGX Orin Memory Bus Width

Hi NVIDIA Team,
When I run deviceQuery on my newly bought AGX Orin Dev Kit, my Memory Bus Width is shown to be 128bit. But from the technical specifications of the AGX Orin module it’s supposed to be 256bit?

Have I misunderstood what these two values represent? Or is there any way to config this value to be 256bit as expected?

Thanks in advance!

Above is the screenshot of our deviceQuery.

I have the same issue. I’ve upgraded jetpack to version 5.1.1 already.

Hi,

This is a software bug.
We are actively working on the fix.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks.

So is there any info on the date releasing the fix? Would appreciate it.
Thanks.

Hi,

Sorry that we can not disclose schedule-related info here.

Please noted that the memory bus width for Orin is actually 256-bit.
This bug only causes incorrect reporting.

Thanks.

So, you mean that is deviceQuery bug only?

I’ve tested bandwidth speed using shmoo mode, this is result:
The maximum bw of HtoD: 36.7GB/s, DtoH: 36.6 GB/s, DtoD: 179.1 GB/s

As I know, the theoretical memory bandwidth is calculated as Memory interface * Memory Clock rate / 8 (GB/s). The maximum bandwidth calculated by the boost clock rate? So can you show me how can I recognize that Orin has interface 256-bit bus width?

Hi,

Yes, the bug is only in deviceQuery.

We are checking how to get the benchmark data of memory bandwidth with our internal team.
Will share more information with you later.

Thanks.

Hi,

Based on the below document, AGX Orin has the peak memory bandwidth of roughly 205 GB/s:

The measurement of 179.1 GB/s is inline with this number.
Thanks.
