Jetson Orin Nano Dev kit cameras

I have now tried my best to get a IMX708 (Pi Camera V3 | Raspberry Pi, Pi Camera, CSI-2) to work on my Jetson Orin Nano Dev kit, but I failed. Yes I Know it is not the best. The available drivers are limited to 25 FPS anyway, which is to slow for my intended application. I Then ordered a IMX519, but the camera I received does not work at all, Not even on my old Pi 5. Jetson also can’t even detect it.

I need to capture video and then calculate speed of a moving object. I created something similar on a Pi using the IMX708 (Pi Camera V3 on a Pi 5. But Pi is simply to slow and limited for what I need.

I prefer an Auto focus camera and similar FOV as the (Pi Camera V3 | Raspberry Pi, Pi Camera, CSI-2 or what I get from a 6mm lens.

It has now been suggested I use an IMX 477 or an IMX 219, but the 219 is fixed focus. What camera can I use? Something that will work with minimum setup problems. Please help me out here. I am from South Africa and need to Import everthing.

Hello,

Thanks for visiting the NVIDIA Developer Forums.
To ensure better visibility and support, I’ve moved your post to the Jetson category where it’s more appropriate

Cheers,
Tom

Jetson don’t support auto focuser. The IMX219/IMX477 could be the minimum effort.
