Linux Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS, nvidia driver 430, GTX 1660 Ti, blank screen after wake from suspend, dual boot windows 10

I have recently installed Ubuntu alongside Windows 10.
If I use the nouveau driver I am able to wake from suspend, but I can only use my laptop screen.
If I use the Nvidia driver I can use an external monitor, but am unable to wake from suspend.
The device seems to start (rather slowly), yet the screens are blank.

Thanks generix, I’ve attached the bug report.

Looks like you’re running into this:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-430/+bug/1843695

I have followed his method but ran into troubles installing the 435 driver, I think I will just live with it until NVIDIA releases a long-term update that works.

Since it’s hanging on saving the device state this rather seems like a kernel bug.
