Loss of nvmlDeviceGetPowerUsage API from 384.59 to 390.48

Hi, I originally posted my issue here:

https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1077964/geforce-drivers/loss-of-nvmldevicegetpowerusage-api-from-384-59-to-390-48/?offset=7#5900599

But it was suggested I try here. The issue I’m having is:

I’m using the P1000 video card on openSuse 42.3, and have noticed that the nvmlDeviceGetPowerUsage returns a valid reading using driver version 384.59, but returns null for driver version 390.48. This can also be seen running nvidia-smi, for 384.59, the power usage is displayed (ex: 14W), but with version 390.48 it gives: N/A.

Does anyone know if this is working as intended? Or if something else could be causing the 390.48 driver to not report out the power usage?

A little more details in the posted link.

Thank you
