Lower quality rtsp output with Deepstream app on Axis camera on jetson Orin nano

Issue Type: Low Quality Output of RTSP Stream

I’m currently facing an issue with the DeepStream Test 5 application in conjunction with an Axis camera. The input is a sourced via an RTSP link directly from the camera, and the output of the apliucation is the RTSP stream .

The resulting image appears significantly pixelated whenever there is movement. Strangely, when I switch the sink to MP4 output, the image quality improves noticeably. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could guide me on how to enhance the visual output of the camera when using RTSP.

You may try to use TCP connection instead of UDP connection to reduce packet lost. To set shorter IDR frame interval for the video encoder may also help.
