mellanox connectx-4 RHEL 7.6 driver

While the supported driver for RHEL 7.6 is v4.7-1.0.0.1 as per Mellanox., but what we noticed is that the mellanox drivers that come with the RHEL kernel is 5.0-0.

How is this possible and supported ? Should we downgrade the driver verison to 4.7.x ?

Hi,

it’s different package the version you see is inbox driver version that comes with RHEL OS

if you install the full MLNX_OFED you will see the correct version.

which is the higher version the inbox driver 5.0-0 or the 4.1.x ?

Does RHEL support the vendor driver versions ?
