Migrating Phy 88E1512 with Orin board

Hi,

Our custom carrier board will use the PHY 88E1512 with JetPack 6.2.
Since this is not the default PHY, we need to perform a customization process.

I have read various posts and the official documentation:

Hi, I am trying to make the PHY 88E1512 RGMII work. After studying posts like this and this and the official JP6.1 documentation, I do not see any issues in the configuration. I can confirm that the correct pinmux configured correctly is in effect as I wrote it in the flashing conf file, the nodes in the device tree are configured correctly, the phy_reset GP5 is High, all the mgbe are disabled. However, I am now more confused about which files need to be modified and how to proceed.
Is there a step-by-step guide available to help with this process?

You could look into /boot/dtb on your Jetson to know where to start first.

I never really “memorize” which dtb should modify. If you know where to start and where to download source code, then it is basically code tracing.

88E1512 is actually a very common phy in use by other users. So shall not have problem.
