Multi Monitor Workstation Setup Issues

I have a Ryzen WRX80 / 3975WX / 256 GB RAM / 1600W PSU workstation that I use for both work and gaming. Setup consists of 3 x P620 (one of them is of newer model) and RTX 3060Ti:

  • 8 x Dell P2419H monitors connected to the old P620
  • LG 43UD79-B connected to the new P620
  • LG 38WN95C-W connected to RTX 3060 Ti

All using Native Display Port cables, no conversion what so ever.

Issues:

-Despite the fact that I am running a behemoth of a computer, Windows Desktop Manager rendering sometimes become sluggesh and the mouse lags while moving the cursor around. I have tried setting refresh rate all the same as well as color settings. still slow, this is an intermittent issue mostly noticible if I right click → display settings in windows or try and open nvidia control panel.

-The issue is more sever if a monitor that is hookedup to a P620 is made the primary display (not sure how windows rendering works, does throw rendering of all displays to a single GPU ?)

-The monitor hooked up to the first port of each of the Quadro P620 would not sleep if I disconnect the monitor from Windows settings (i.e. i opt not to use it and ask windows to ignore it). I use DC2.exe because the windows display manager sucks big time when it comes to arranging monitors to the pixel level. Having said that, if I say wanted to game, i switch to a configuration where only the gaming monitor is used and the rest are disconnected by windows. All displays will sleep except the ones hookedup to Port 1 of the Quadros.

-I’ve noticed the newer model of the Quadro has a slightly newer BIOS. Do I need to bring all the Quadros to the same FW level and how?
