Multiple cameras with Libargus

Could you share information about max. number of cameras that Libargus can support to stream/capture simultaneously, please ?

please refer to Software Features in Depth for [CSI and USB Camera Features].
due to Xavier NX only have two camera slots, it may refer to AGX Xavier series. and, we have reference camera board with six identical cameras. we’ve test six camera (1920x1440) preview running at 30-fps simultaneously.

besides, please also check Jetson Xavier NX Product Design Guide, for [Table 9-3. CSI Configurations]
it’s mentioned that up-to six dual-lane camera streams are supported.

yes. there’re only two camera slots on Xavier NX Devkit.

Our Jetson Xavier NX based custom board can support up to 6 cameras.

that’s right, as mentioned by Jetson Xavier NX Product Design Guide; up-to six dual-lane camera streams are supported.
we’ve test plan for running six identical cameras. they’re all running at 1920x1440@30-fps simultaneously.

anyways,
do you have any issues while running multi-cam use-case?

I haven’t tested yet, but from the following comment, it is said that Argus able support 3 cameras :

that should be answering user’s question to broadcast 3 cameras simultaneously.

FYI,
we’ve test multi-cam use-case with 6 cameras locally.
and, I also saw there’s Jetson camera partner develop camera solution with 16 cameras.

Was it with virtual channels or with some high-end Jetson platform such as Xavier AGX or Orin AGX?

that’s with virtual channel support on AGX Xavier.
