My recently bought nVidia Geforce GTC 1650 card will not display video nor will it output sound. The DVI port works fine.
I am using Ubuntu 22.04 as operating system. I replaced my old Geforce 1080 Ti hoping the new card would work better, but up until now I had no such luck.
My video card is connected with HDMI cable to a Marantz NR 1603 A/V receiver. The monitor of the receiver is a Philips TV.
Because I purchased the Marantz in 2013 I suspect incompatibility in HDMI protocol (Video card uses higher version than A/V receiver).
Is there a way to manualy switch to a lower HDMI protocol version within Nvidia settings app so I can make my configuration work?
All other connected equipment works fine with this A/V receiver (Home Cinema set and Nintendo WII), and the used port works fine with an old Dell Laptop connected.
