I am not able to see the ConnectX-6 DX 2-port 100GbE QSFP56 PCIe Adapter in the natwork cards list on ESX, when I run %esxcfg-nics -l or %esxcli network nic list

Hi,

Please make sure the MLNX_OFED driver is installed on your ESXi host. If its ESXi 8.x, it’s installed by default.
You can check by invoking this command:

$ esxcli software vib list | grep -i nmlx5
nmlx5-cc 4.23.0.66-2vmw.802.0.0.22380479 VMW VMwareCertified 2024-05-14 host
nmlx5-core 4.23.0.66-2vmw.802.0.0.22380479 VMW VMwareCertified 2024-05-14 host
nmlx5-rdma 4.23.0.66-2vmw.802.0.0.22380479 VMW VMwareCertified 2024-05-14 host

If the driver is installed and the NIC still doesn’t show on the network card list, then we would need more data to investigate. Please open a case with enterprisesupport@nvidia.com, and it will be handled based on entitlement.
