I’m using Arch Linux and have a GTX 760. Since the 430.14 driver GPU video decoding is not working in mpv (hwdec option set to nvdec/cuda). The last working driver was 418.74. After a call to cuvidCreateDecoder the process will always segfault in libnvcuvid.so.1. Decoding via VDPAU works without any issues.
It looks like NVENC on GK104 GPUs segfaults as well:

I just wanted to confirm this. I have the same issue with Fedora 30, 430.26 driver, GTX 760. I can provide a stack trace as well but it would be redundant. As the OP said, 418.74 is fine. I have not tried 430.14.

I’m still seeing this with the 430.40 driver. I’m not so hot with stack traces but I can try that if that would help. I suspect the crash is similar to the one posted above. Again, this is with a 760 GTX video card.
