Nvidia GameReady 590.26 Driver Version Windows 11 Blue Screen issue

Since I purchased my device approximately 10 months ago, I had never encountered a Blue Screen error—until I installed the 590.26 driver. I’ve experienced this issue in only two specific games so far:

  1. In Forza Horizon 5, I received an immediate Blue Screen error right after activating the NVIDIA overlay during the game’s startup sequence.
  2. Similarly, in The Forest, my system crashed with a Blue Screen while enabling the NVIDIA overlay shortly after launching the game.

Additionally, in some games like Cyberpunk 2077, enabling the Smooth Motion feature introduces noticeable input latency, which negatively affects gameplay responsiveness.

In World of Warcraft, the new Smooth Motion technology works perfectly. I have a 4070 Super and tested this driver for a week without any problems. Additionally, my GPU runs cooler and uses less power. I was using Lossless Scaling before, but this feature is even better than that, even in its beta stage.

Welcome everyone.

One important thing to remember is that the 590.26 driver right now is a preview driver and as such marked as experimental only and not to be used as an end-user replacement for certified drivers or in production use. Any issues or errors are to be expected.

While any and all feedback is very much appreciated, this type of driver is meant for Developers who need to have early access.´

So please do not handle this as if it was a Beta release or similar. You do use it at your own risk.

Hello.

I’ve been using version 590.26 since its release, and I check my computer’s performance every time I play a game, etc. I haven’t had any problems since I started using it. My question is, how can I find a newer version?

I’ve had problems. So i used DDU to clean out the driver and went back to the stable release. I was getting random black screens. Fixed now.
