Nvidia-SMI not working on my new Desktop

nvidia-smi is not detecting GPUs in the new desktop. How can we resolve this?

~$ nvidia-smi
NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn't communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running.

We have also attached the bug report on running nvidia-bug-report.sh here.

We installed the recommended driver nvidia-driver-525 using sudo apt install nvidia-driver-525. Also:

~$ uname -a
Linux networklab-host2 5.15.0-86-generic #96~20.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Thu Sep 21 13:23:37 UTC 2023 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Please either disable secure boot in bios or install a signed driver.
