'nvidia-smi' outputs 'no devices found' Ubuntu 22.04 RTX GeForce 3070 Ti

(Ubuntu 22.04, GeForce RTX 3070 Ti)

Have reinstalled ubuntu 22 fresh.
Do sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade -y && sudo apt-get build-essential
Downloaded NVIDIA driver 535 with sudo apt install. (Also did this with runfile previously and didnt work)
Blacklisted nouveau
And nvidia-smi returns “no devices found” or on previous tries has been stuck on executing and never outputs.

Doublecheck your 12 pin power connector is correctly seated and if using 8p->12p adapter, that it’s secure and fully populated with 8pins.

I have a Lambda Tensorbook not a desktop.

I think I need to use an older kernel version. However when I boot into 5.15 it states no wifi adapter found…

A long shot, but looking at the “Additional Information” tab for the latest driver for that GPU at the Nvidia Driver site:

“Some designs incorporating supported GPUs may not be compatible with the NVIDIA Linux driver: in particular, notebook and all-in-one desktop designs with switchable (hybrid) or Optimus graphics will not work if means to disable the integrated graphics in hardware are not available.”
