Orin Nano serial console log

Hi,

I’m facing an issue with my Orin Nano not rebooting, similar to this one.
I read on other posts that the serial console log would be a good starting point.

I have some questions on this:

  1. Can I use a USB C to A cable to get the serial log?
  2. Or should I use a USB to TTL cable to connect to the TX, RX and GND?

Please clarify.

Hi virtual.ramblings,

Are you using the devkit or custom board for Orin Nano?

No, USB-C port is used for flash the board rather than capture the serial console log.

Yes, you would need a serial console cable connecting to TXD/RXD/GND of debug UART.

Using the devkit, not a custom board.
Thanks, I’ll get a serial cable.

You could refer to the following instruction to capture serial console log.

Make sure it is a 3.3V “TTL level” UART.
