"Pageflip timed out!" on RTX 5070 Ti on KDE Plasma 6.6.3 Wayland

Been having fairly severe issues on KDE Plasma 6.6.3 with lag and often irrecoverable freezing after any regular boot. I haven’t had these issues in the past, but am on a different monitor than usual, though I’ve also confirmed it on another separate monitor that I’m also not usually on. Notably I’m getting “Pageflip timed out! This is a bug in the nvidia-drm kernel driver Please report this at Linux - NVIDIA Developer Forums With the output of ‘sudo dmesg’ and ‘journalctl --user-unit plasma-kwin_wayland --boot 0’“ which is what I’m doing.

I’m on Arch with Kernel 6.19.10, KDE Plasma 6.6.3 with Wayland, nvidia-open 595 with an RTX 5070 Ti if that helps. I already tried downgrading to 585, 580 and 570, none of which seemed to help. I’d check if switching to closed drivers and disabling GSP helps, but I believe on this GPU that’s not an option.

Any help appreciated obviously.

journal.log (8.1 KB)

I’m also getting this same ‘pageflip’ error and crash on nixos in both in KDE and Hyprland with a A2000 laptop gpu, both with proprietary and open drivers. When the system suspends, it hard locks and crashes on resume.

Driver 595.58.03, kernel 6.18.20
