I want to upgrade my desktop computer with a Quadro 2000 card for scientific computing. I currently have a GeForce GT 220, will the Quadro 2000 fit in the same space ? Do I need better computer cooling ? In short, can I just replace the GeForce GT 220 with the Quadro 2000 or I should also replace something else ?
For the speace requirement you won’t have a problem, but there will be probably 2 problms you will have to face: you may need a better cooling on your PC box, as well as a more powerful power supply, as the Quadro will drawat least 100W more and will need separated power cables too.
