Question about getting 2nd port to work on ConnectX-3 (HP 649283-B21) on windows using openSM, getting openSM error

I have 2 HP Gen8 servers each identical with the same 2 port IB cards, I’ve got opensm running on each (two instances on each server, both specifying a particular GUID) Both ports on both servers are connected to an unmanaged switch (the same error occurs when they are connected directly to each other). One port works fine, the other (port 2) gives the following error on both servers. Does anyone know what this means? Firmware has been updated on the cards to the same level, openSM is at the most recent level and I’ve tried switching cables. Thanks for the input.

Hello Dave -

You should only have 1 opensm master instance running to begin with. You could have a second opensm service running on another server on slave mode.
