R28.2, wifi in tx1 disconnect sometimes

Hi,now we find a issue in R28.2 on all my tx1 board.
The wifi module disconnect in two or three hours after poweron and get ip-address. In dmesg,I can see wifi module restart,but cannot get ipaddress success. If i “nmcli dev wifi con” or restart network-mananger , it can connect wifi.

Hi jiamianshiye,

Would you hit this problem when using Ubuntu GUI? It looks like a known issue for NetworkManager. Could you also try to use latest NM?

Hi kayccc. This problem is still here. I update network manager,and it go wrong in about 22 hours. Now wifi module is still disconnect.
PS : i just use text mode in Ubuntu ,not GUI . I use command “nmcli dev wifi” to set my wifi .

  2. When you hit error, could you also share the syslog from /var/log/syslog?

This issue happened again. I test in 28.2.1 with using station mode. I will fallback to jetpack3.1 later and feed back result.

I test this Tx1 for two weeks in version 28.2 and i found that if wifi disconnect, tx1 will try to re-connect. Or i can just use ping tx1 from host , it will show network unreachable for about 2-5 minites. And after that , wifi can be connected ok . Is this a bug ?

Error log is same as previous one. I think it maybe itwas related to my route device.
Now i have no extra Tx1 to test jetpack3.1 . I will do jetpack3.1 test some days and reply results.

Did you have any luck with this? I’ve been running my TX1 fine for like a year but since flashing with JetPack3.3 the other day I’m also getting the ‘link down reason : WLC_E_DEAUTH_IND’ error, which then re-prompts the desktop to submit the WPA2 key again. Even when doing that it is hit or miss. Restarting the net-manager seems to work most times. I’ve noticed on dmesg that it is also switching region: [ 2006.179217] cfg80211: Regulatory domain changed to country: GB

Found this https://askubuntu.com/questions/465848/frequent-deauthentication-from-wifi-reason-6-in-a-centrino-advanced-n-6230-r#comment1091348_471492 Seemed to be suspicious of the 5Ghz band and channel swapping so disabled both of them at the router. Not at all ideal but seems stable at the moment.

Also added these lines to /etc/sysctl.conf
net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6 = 1
net.ipv6.conf.default.disable_ipv6 = 1
net.ipv6.conf.lo.disable_ipv6 = 1

And modified /etc/default/crda with the value found from executing ‘iw reg get’ when connected

Will monitor but I’m guessing it’s just a bug around how its handling the WPA supplicant on changes like user403237 said.

OK I think I’m homing in on the problem. Tried removing one fix at a time after the tx1 ran stable for over 12 hours. I re-enabled 5ghz with a fixed channel first and the tx1 switched OK to it almost instantly. I let it run for a few more minutes and it went into WLC_E_DEAUTH_IND. I removed 5ghz again and the tx1 switched back to 2.4 without any problems and restored the connection. This looks like the tx1 is switching between the two bands. My hub is set up to span the two bands on the same IP range and has the same ID and key. Wonder if there is any way to get the tx1 to stick with the original band it connects to and if it swaps for it to avoid the WLC_E_DEAUTH_IND issue failing to submit its stored credentials.
