TX1 wifi Problem, unable to connect any router

upgraded to jetpack 3.1, boot it up, immediately, I noticed that TX1 can’t

connect to any router. before that, I had jetpack 2.1 and jetpack 3.0. in both

the wifi is working fine and can easily connect to a router.

when I upgrade to jetpack 3.1, the wifi won’t able to connect to a router. with no choice,

I re-flashed with jetpack 2.1, jetpack 2.3 and jetpack 3.0. ALL OF THEM, still, wifi is

unable to connect to a router (the router is working fine, I have my laptop and phones

connected to it)

I’m using a custom carrier boards not the Jetson TX1 Development Kits.

strangely enough, when I set up and share my mobile phone’s 4G as accessing point,

the TX1 could connect to the ap from my mobile phone:

on the other hand, the shared accessing point from my mobile phone doesn’t have any security setting.

Could you turn off the security setting on your router for a test?

yes, so, I disable the security setting and restart my router and all other devices.

now, no password required to connect to the router.

all the devices(laptops, mobile phone) can easily connect to the router except the TX1.

TX1 wont connect to the router and remain the same.

Does it mean after you move back from jetpack3.1 to jetpack2.3.1, tx1 still cannot connect to router??

yes, tried move back from jetpack3.1 to jetpack 2.3 or jetpack 3.0, still the same, wont connect to

Jetpack3.1 indeed upgrades the wifi firmware, but if you flashed back to jetpack2.3.1, it should not be a problem.

Do other routers also have this issue??

yes, tried 3 routers, none of them worked.

I plan to move back to 32bit jetpack 2.1 instead of 64bit

There are two options

  1. Turn OFF & turn ON WiFi and then connect
  2. Wait for 5 mins and retry WiFi connection.

well, It could connect to the ap(accessing point) shared by my mobile phone.

both the regular router and my mobile phone are very closed to the TX1 20-30cm away.

(1) put the TX1 module on the standard devkit, still, the wifi unable to connect to a

router.(tried different routers already)

(2) put a new TX1 module on the custom board, everything works just fine.
