Rootfs encryption with dm-crypt on Jetson Nano with eMMC variant

Hello,
I am using the NVIDIA Jetson Linux 32.7.4 release on Seeed Studio Jetson Nano (reComputer J1010 Kit). I want to encrypt the roofs partition. Can I use dm-crypt with LUKS? I read on Nvidia forums that Trusty isn’t supported on Jetson Nano (using tegra210 software variant) and dm-crypt is used along with Trusty. Can somebody provide some information the above assumption holds true?

it’s not supported.
as you can see in the Disk Encryption chapter.

Applies to: Jetson Xavier NX series, Jetson AGX Xavier series, and Jetson TX2 series

So now I can see that both Trusty and LUKS are not supported for Jetson Nano? So is it possible can you please provide the below suggestions?

  1. The TEE implementation; TRUSTY is not supported. So what it the alternative here?
  2. What can be the other alternative for encryption on Jetson Nano? If I go for fscrypt with the file based encryption compared to block encryption earlier, will this work?

you should moving to Jetson TX2 series (or later) to enable disk encryption.
