I am upgrading from a Windows 10 with a Quaddro card to a Windows 11 with an A400 card. The PM-8X matrix works fine with DP cables and the Quaddro card. The same cables with mini-DP adapter and the A400 card with same matrix does not work. The Windows machine cannot detect the monitor. Connections directly to the mobo DP work.
Is there something else that needs to be done to allow the device to be detected?
Welcome @jspruill119 to the NVIDIA developer forums.
Did you do a quick Hardware check and tried if the mini-DP ports work on a standard DP monitor, ideally with a dedicated mini-DP to DP cable?
Thanks for the quick response! I had gone mini-DP to the existing DP-HDMI cable, not thinking about considering whether or not the signal would pass through that adapter. Getting a replacement cable that is miniDP-HDMI to connect the A400 to the matrix. Will update after I test that out.
This did the trick. Using a direct miniDP → HDMI cable from the card to the matrix allowed the matrix to be seen.
