Subject: Nvidia RTX A5000 Card Detection Issue on Ubuntu OS
Dear Nvidia Support Team,
I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to seek assistance with an issue I’m experiencing regarding the detection of my Nvidia RTX A5000 graphics card on Ubuntu OS. Despite following the steps provided by your team, I am still unable to detect the GPU using the drivers.
Here are the details of my system and the steps I’ve taken so far:
- System Information:
- Operating System: Ubuntu 22.04, 20.04 & 18.04
- Nvidia Driver Version: 550 & 530
- Nvidia RTX A5000 Graphics Card
- Steps Taken:
- Installed Nvidia drivers.
- Ran nvidia-smi to check GPU detection status (Result: GPU not detected).
- Attempted to use Nvidia X Server Settings but GPU not visible.
- Installed CUDA Toolkit (12 & 11) to verify GPU detection for GPU computing tasks.
- Test Software and Tools Used:
- Used nvidia-smi command to check GPU status and information.
- Installed and ran stress testing tools like GpuTest.
- Observations:
- No GPU detected in system information tools.
- Unable to access GPU settings or information through Nvidia X Server Settings.
- Stress testing tools did not detect or utilize the GPU.
- OpenGL and Vulkan tests did not show the GPU as available.
- Error Messages or Logs:
- Provide any error messages or logs you encountered during the detection process.
Please advise on any additional steps I can take to diagnose and resolve this issue. I have attached any relevant logs or error messages for your reference.Thank you for your time and assistance in resolving this matter.
