This is the corresponding log generated by installing the nvidia driver. I use sudo sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86_ The 64 xxxx. run – kernel source path=/usr/src/Linux headers - $(uname - r) command was installed
nvidia-installer.log (38.2 KB)
The following error occurred:
Unable to load the kernel module ‘nvidia.ko’. This happens most frequently when this kernel module was built against the wrong or improperly configured kernel sources, with a version of gcc that differs from the one used to build the target kernel, or if another driver, such as nouveau, is present and prevents the NVIDIA kernel module from obtaining ownership of the NVIDIA device(s), or no NVIDIA device installed in this system is supported by this NVIDIA Linux graphics driver release.
The kernel log displays as follows :
[ 291.591169] sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Attached SCSI removable disk
[ 472.446293] VFIO - User Level meta-driver version: 0.3
[ 472.494055] nvidia: loading out-of-tree module taints kernel.
[ 472.494067] nvidia: module license ‘NVIDIA’ taints kernel.

[ 472.585665] NVRM: Please check your BIOS settings.
[ 472.585666] NVRM: [Plug & Play OS] should be set to NO
[ 472.585666] NVRM: [Assign IRQ to VGA] should be set to YES

[ 472.585689] NVRM: The NVIDIA probe routine failed for 1 device(s).
[ 472.585690] NVRM: None of the NVIDIA devices were initialized.
[ 472.585828] nvidia-nvlink: Unregistered Nvlink Core, major device number 510
I understand that module verification failed with signature and/or required key missing - taining kernel is not a fatal error and will not affect module loading.
It is worth mentioning that I can see the corresponding graphics card using lspci
