We’d like to replace TX2 with Xavier NX and found SATA interface is missing. Is it possible to use Pinmux to add SATA interface to Xavier NX? We need the PCIex4 for data acquisition and can’t use NVME for storage. USB3 SSDs caused frame drops. SATA SSDs worked for our applications.
No, SATA is not in the feature list. Maybe you should consider PCIe to SATA bridge design.
There are one lane PCIe to M.2 type M adapters, it may be possible to use 1 lane PCIe of Xavier-NX for NVME SSD:
