Hi All

We are running a series of test’s for customers who use Teamcenter and Catia.

The hardware is a HP DL380 Gen9 with 2 Grid K2’s.

The process is Intel Xeon 2660 v3 2.6 Ghz

The VDI machines are running Windows 7 64 Bit with K240Q grid card

We have large size car drawings. Our engineers are designing the model with the Catia and wiewing with Siemens Teamcenter Visualization.(vismockup)

Our issue: when we rotate the model, 2 seconds delay on first click. But after the first click, we have no problems when we want to rotate the model.
Our problem is that during the first click. This delay time increases when the model file grows.

What can we do for this 2-second delay?

It doesn’t sound like an NVIDIA issue at this stage.

A few questions:

-What happens when you run the same test on physical hardware / different hardware? Can you repeat the issue?

-Which version of Catia are you running?

-Which version of XenDesktop and which Hypervisor?

-What storage are you using for the VM and datastores?

-Have you got a faster base clock CPU you can use? or a v4 CPU?

A : We have no problems with the physical machine

Physical machine specs: Cpu :1 Cpu 4 core, RAM: 32 GB , Graphics: Nvidia K2200

Q : Which version of Teamcenter Visualization are you running?
A : 11.2

Q : Which version of Catia are you running?
A : R26

Q : Which version of XenDesktop and which Hypervisor?
A : XenDesktop is 7.9 and Hypervisor is XenServer 7.1

Q : What storage are you using for the VM and datastores?
A : NetApp SSD

Q: Have you got a faster base clock CPU you can use? or a v4 CPU?
A: Virtual desktops have 4 vcpu (2 socket 2 core) and we did test with 8 vcpu - 12 vcpu

We have no problems with the Catia program, We are having problems with the siemens teamcenter visualization.

Thanks for the above.

I’ve never used Teamcenter Visualization, and have no idea how it integrates with Catia. If that’s the only issue you are experiencing, then you may get more specialized help posting on the Dassault and Siemens forums, as it doesn’t sound like an NVIDIA issue.

If anyone else has experience with Teamcenter Visualization, then please feel free to offer some guidance below …
