Yes, RTX GPU is required for Omniverse. Best to use 2070 and above. In terms of remote computing, depends on what you mean. If you mean a remote terminal or desktop that has RTX card and you are streaming to work on your own desktop, that should work. But it does depend on the setup. If possible you may want to try it first.
