We use THOR’s XFI (MGBE) interface on the carrier board, which is converted to a 10G electrical port through PHY (AQR113C). The datasheet also specifies that MGBE can be connected to external PHY and Switch. At present, the hardware is designed in this way, but it seems that embedded does not support it. I would like to know if there will be a version that supports external PHY in the future?
I don’t think I understand the question correctly. Do you mean that embedded software does not support this configuration?
The MGBE section of Jetson Thor Series Modules Interface Design Guide has Table 7-21 showing the UPHY pins to use for MGBE connection to external PHY or switch.
