Ubuntu 16.05 Tesla M60 8q login loop.

Hello,

After installing the provided Nvidia GRID driver for Ubuntu 16.04 64 bit on the VM with the M10-8q vGPU profile assigned I get a login loop.

When I try to start the X server with

sudo startx

I get errors:

Thank you for the helpful information. Now the

nvidia-smi

shows the X server, but now it boots to a black screen. Already tried

sudo init 5

and

sudo startx

with no success.
I am connecting through ssh and to view the display through vSphere Web Client.

Thank you in advance

Update: I managed to connect to the server with the GUI. How do I activate the Nvidia GRID license?
