Unable to flash L4T-28.4 on some TX2 SOMs, PCN209140

Hi,

I am unable to flash several TX2 SOMs.

I suspect the underlying reason is due to Product/Process Change Notice PCN209140 as our previous TX2 SOMs have part numbers that end in D02, while our newer unflashable SOMs end in D12.

From the PCN209140 documentation links, I see that there are no patches available for L4T-28.4. For validation, we are temporarily running tests with L4T-28.5.

I have specifically tested with the following:

With the overlay, I can confirm that I am able to flash D12 units, however I am now unable to flash D02 units. This restriction makes it very difficult or automate as it requires us to physically inspect the TX2 SOM before assembly and flashing.

Are there patches for L4T-28.4 that will allow flashing all TX2 SOMs?

Sorry to tell there is no PCN209140 overlay patch for L4T28.4.

Thanks for the confirmation.

That still leaves a problem with L4T-28.5 which is unable to flash certain SOMs after the patch has been applied. Is there a fix available for this?

No, that’s a bit too old to support.
