USB Issues on Jetson AGX Xavier Board (Non-Developer Kit) after Ubuntu

Hello,

I am encountering USB-related problems with my Jetson AGX Xavier board (non-developer kit). Previously, I had successfully installed JetPack on Ubuntu 18.04, and everything was functioning well. However, after performing ‘sudo apt update’, ‘sudo apt upgrade’, and rebooting, I am now unable to use any USB devices. Even when I check with ‘lsusb’, no devices are recognized.

It’s important to note that since the USB is not functioning, I cannot format or troubleshoot via USB. Although I can still connect via SSH, internet access is currently unavailable.

If anyone has experienced a similar situation or has suggestions on how to address this problem with a non-developer kit, I would greatly appreciate your guidance. Thank you.

Hi,

What L4T/JetPack version is in use?
You mean you are not even able to re-flash it?
Maybe the update causes some custom device tree/BCT changes to be gone.

Thanks your reply.

  1. When I run ‘sudo apt-cache show nvidia-jetpack,’ I see four versions listed: 4.6.4-b39, 4.6.3-b17, 4.6.2-b5, 4.6.1-b110
  2. I want to format the device itself, but since USB device is not working, I’m seeking guidance on how to achieve this. (As USB device is not functioning, I cannot use the method of initializing or format via USB.)
  3. How can I check and address the issue of custom device tree/BCT being gone?

I am not very familiar with Linux kernel and system. I would appreciate any assistance you can provide.

Thanks.

OK, so if this carrier board is not made by yourself, and is from some third-party vendor,
please ask the vendor for how to re-flash it.

Thank you. I’ll try reaching out to the manufacturer for assistance.

same problem I am facing in NVIDIA Jetson AGX XAVIER kit there are 2 USB 3.0 slots and both are not working no signal no 5volt supply

Please open a new topic for your own issue. Thanks
