UV Less / AI based texture creation coming soon?

Is NVidia looking at a UV less toolset to get textures on polygon models?
one of the biggest blockers from what I can see within enduser experience in Omniverse is still the requirement for UVs to display models with texture information.

In the short term, are there plans to implement triplanar or procedural 3D noise into the material editor? current noise nodes are based on UVs still.
