Hi, i’ve been working with nvidia omniverse for 1 month. I have a problem that is delaying my project.

When i export a usd file from omniverse to unreal engine, unity, sketchfab, or any other program that opens the usd extension. None of them load the textures, most objects turn gray, only a few objects load the texture, I’m suffering a lot with this problem,

Yes in many cases the Omniverse MDL materials will not translate back to content creation applications through the USD file open. The translation of these materials is handled by the connectors with varying levels of accuracy.

The unreal engine, 3ds Max, Maya, Blender and Houdini connectors translate omniPBR materials rather well.

Converting the materials or simply using “USD preview surface” materials should provide a better translation when simply opening the USD file without using a connector.

Hello, Can you guide me how to transform the materials having shaders referencing mdl files to Usd Preview Surface?
