USD model looks fine in Unreal Engine but not in Omniverse

Hi!

I have a model in blender for which I have baked diffuse, roughness, metal and normal maps and then exported to a USD model.

When I load the model in Unreal Engine + a directional light it looks like this

However, in Omniverse it looks like this in the viewport after I have added a directional light.

It has the same texture issues for both the path tracing and the RTX Real-Time renderer.
Any ideas of why it looks so odd in Omniverse?

Attached is the zipped usdc file + textures

Hello @jesper1989andersson! I’ve asked the Rendering team to take a look at your files. I’ll post back when I have more information!

Hello @jesper1989andersson
Thank you for reporting this issue, I’m looking into it. As a temporary work-around, if you create an OmniPBR material and assign the maps in that material it looks fine.

Ok thank you!

I have the opposite problem. A file (local, USD on disk sent to me via zip) looks fine in Omniverse/kit-sdk-public@107.3.0-rc.2+feature.1993.f5be6da8.gl.windows-x86_64.release.b0a86421. In Unreal, importing with OpenUSD as currently advised, textures are not applied. Materials look as though they could be okay but TBH it’s hard to tell. I can export from Unreal to Omniverse (broadly) correctly.

Can you start a new thread on this. This thread is very old. Then I can help you.
