Wallpaper will disappear after change refresh rate in the same resolution

Hi NV,
we hit an issue,
if change refresh rate in the same resolution then wallpaper will disappear and become black,
but desktop app icon is still exist,
need to press F5 to refresh desktop or change wallpaper to make wallpaper back,
for example,
if resolution is 1920x1080@60 now, use xrandr to change refresh rate
xrandr --output HDMI-0 --mode 1920x1080 --rate 59.95
then wallpaper disappear,
OS is NVDIA L4T32.6.1, ubuntu 16.04,
any idea for this issue?

I guess there is a typo. Default OS is 18.04 not 16.04.

Let me try this on my device.

can’t reproduce this issue after use follow command to update gnome-desktop:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-gnome-desktop --reinstall
