On wayland firing up Serious Sam modding tools(serious editor) would cause freeze/hang and trigger nvidia-drm flip event time out.
This was tested on both Gnome & KDE with same behavior, on X11 there are no issues.
This is still present in 555.52.04 it wasn’t an issue in 535, the problems started from the introduction of fbdev which even if disabled the driver still hits nvidia-drm flip event time out sometimes immediately after you launch the modding tools from steam.
In this state the driver would freeze and it would be hard to even get to TTY to print the message that it has triggered.
