Where to find ISO for fresh installation

Hi dear forum

I need to to a fresh installation of the DGX 7 OS as documented here: Reimaging the System — NVIDIA DGX OS 7 User Guide

But when registering for the support to get to the download center, I only get the following error:
“We can’t log you in because of an authentication error.”

Is there any other option to obtain the ISO?

Thanks for your help.

Kind regards
Pascal

Thanks Fabio for your quick reply. But this is only the recovery image, not the ISO I am looking for.

I actually really need the DGX OS ISO in order to reimage the DGX system (need to encrypt the root filesystem). Again, officially documented here: Reimaging the System — NVIDIA DGX OS 7 User Guide

Is there any way I can get hold of this ISO?

Hi @pascal.albisser

For DGX Spark Founders Edition, the supported recovery path is the Spark-specific recovery media and Spark installation workflows — not the Enterprise Download Center DGX OS ISO.

A few important points:

  • The DGX Spark documentation explicitly notes that Spark uses a different recovery process from enterprise DGX systems, and that the Founders Edition OS is not distributed as an ISO.

  • For Founders Edition systems, recovery media is provided as the DGX Spark recovery image.

  • If your requirement is specifically to deploy an encrypted root filesystem, there is a Spark-specific supported path for that, but it is through the Spark install / provisioning workflow rather than the older Enterprise Download Center DGX ISO path.

  • In practice, that means using the Spark-specific installation path such as Spark PXE or custom installation workflows, depending on how you plan to provision the system.

  • If your device is an OEM GB10-based partner system rather than NVIDIA Founders Edition, the recovery image and process need to come from the OEM.

Can you confirm whether this is a DGX Spark Founders Edition system or an OEM GB10-based system?

If it is Founders Edition, the right next step is the Spark-specific recovery / install workflow for encrypted root filesystem. If it is an OEM platform, the correct next step is to obtain the platform image and recovery guidance from that OEM.

Thanks for your answer. It’s indeed a DGX Spark Founders Edition.

After a long back and forth, I decided to try the vanilla Ubuntu path. I was obviously able to encrypt the disk and more or less follow the path described here: Customizing Ubuntu Installation with DGX Software — NVIDIA DGX OS 7 User Guide

I still need to test it thoroughly but at first sight it looks fine.

We warn against installing the base DGX OS, as there are many system packages that are necessary for optimised performance on the Spark that you will be missing. Please reference our UEFI guide for information on security and encryption: Security Tab — DGX Spark UEFI User Guide
