X870E - ConnectX-7 NIC for Windows?

Hi,

I have 2x Sparks, I also have a 5090 Astral OC on an Asus X870E ProART Creator Wifi.

Planning to link them all together, ConnectX-6 appears to be a ‘no go’ for ASUS & X870e, link drops, offline etc.

ConnectX-7 appears to be less problematic - ideally, I should buy a dual port, so I can eventually add one more AI node without needing a switch but they are really stupid money at the moment.

  1. Any news on a small ‘desktop aimed’ Connectx-7 Switch, same size and shape of the Spark to form a perfect ‘golden AI tower’.

  2. Has anybody here got the X870e running a ConnectX-7, single or dual port working in windows hassle free?

I’ll probably buy this Monday “NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-7 MCX75510AAS-NEAT Single-Port QSFP 400Gbit 900-9X721-003N-DT0” while waiting for a mini-switch or dual-port prices to drop.
