Xavier Shuts Down When Running Darknet Detector Demo

In many cases that “big fat input capacitor” is the exact solution chosen. On a vehicle, due to spikes and large swings, I’d recommend a buck/boost converter plus that big fat capacitor. However, as long as there are no damaging surges, the capacitor is probably enough (bigger is better…10,000uF is great…perhaps a couple thousand uF will work…distance to unit from capacitor and wiring guage will have an effect on this).

Hey I have the same Issue.
I am running my project which uses 99% of th GPU in a 1sec intervall. But I have it in a very cold environment so that the GPU never get’s hotter than 40 deg Celsius.
I can not use the original power supply but I use a battery where I give it 20V.
But still when my project starts, after about 8-10 minutes the Device shuts down.
Lat last temperatur I can read there is 37 on CPU and 41 on the GPU. I have although veryfied that the power supply I am using is delivering constantly 20V
