2x Jetson Nanos turn on with Green Light but no HDMI output - with Log Files

Hi all,

I have a few Jetson Nanos for a project we are doing, two of them work perfectly, however when I tried booting up another two of them, the Nvidia screen showed initially, then went blank. Now those Jetsons will ‘turn on’, as in the green light will light up and stay on, but I cannot get any HDMI output, and from the log files it can be seen that the Jetsons don’t boot up properly.

From our two working Jetsons I am able to assure that the SD cards are flashed and work properly, so I don’t think that can be the issue.

I have attached the log files below.

I should also mention that I have tried booting up via both the micro usb cable, and with a… I can’t remember what its called but its a direct power supply using the pins on the J41 bus - that is what I used when initially trying to boot up these jetsons.

To get the below log files I used a UART serial comm cable.

I have also tried using different SD cards, which I know work from using them on the Nanos that do work.

Thanks in advance.

Only flashing the board with sdkmanager can bring it back in such situation.

Use the error log as keyword and search the forum and you will kind some posts about it.

Is there any straightforward way to do this (download and run the SDKmanager) with a Windows computer?

And thanks for your help

Sorry that only ubuntu host is able to do that.

Hi, thanks for the response. Sorry if this is a naive question, I’m not the most experienced here, but would an Ubuntu VM on a Windows 10 laptop (with Intel core i5 8thgen) work? That’s what I was hoping to try tmrw?

Unfortunately, VM is not supported well either.

We do have lots of flash problem comes from user’s VM. So also not recommended.

Oh right, sorry to hear that.

Not something I’m familiar with but have come across, does dual booting work?

Yes, dual boot can work. But please have enough disk space on your linux.
