I have Samsung G7 s28 4k monitor, capable of 144hz. On windows it works flawlessly.
On linux it limits to 120hz. Neither nvidia settings or pop os settings (tried with other distros too) give option to use 144hz.
Some people said that it is nvidia issue: there is no display stream compression, and I should buy HDMI 2.1 to get the 144hz. Didn’t help…
Well few hz is a “small” issue, but on linux, when I fullscreen anything like vlc player or da vinci resolve, the screen goes black and comes back few seconds later, only to go black again instantly after moving mouse cursor. So no fullscreens either.
Two issues having to do with the driver.
