Can't Get 4k Resolution with 144hz on Ubuntu

Installed Ubuntu 22.04.2 today. Having trouble while enabling 144hz on 4k resolution. Everything works as expected on Windows side. (4k@120hz)

My driver is 525.116.04.
Monitor is Dell G3223Q

I can see 144hz on display settings on 4k, but when I choose it, screen goes blank and monitor turns itself off by saying “No signal from source”. After 15 secs, screen comes back with resetted into 60hz.

Same here, RTX 4090, LG C2 42", tried multiple distros over months and always latest driver, high pixel clock fix from 535 didn’t do anything for me. Going above 4k60hz works only randomly. Works fine on Windows, problem persists on Linux. Tried turning off gsync too on TV, nothing. Xorg / Wayland, KDE / GNOME, no difference.

@mcsy_nvidiaforums seems like HDMI2.1 not fully supported on Linux yet.

I changed my connection to DP. Had some issues on Windows, but there was an DP vBios update on manufacturer website, did it. Now everything works as expected.

I figured it was something like that. Shame that LG OLED TV owners won’t have the option to change to DP without using active adapter that doesn’t support GSYNC.

Hello,
I have the same problem with two twin 4k screens on an RTX3060 and ubuntu 20.04.2. I put a single screen and a DP cable but it doesn’t solve anything. My resolution is 1024 instead of 4K, even with only one screen connected.
Can you help me?

Best regards
