Hello, I need to setup 4 videowalls with a resolution of 3616x768px@30Hz each. I’d like to use a quadro a5000 connected to a Pixelhue P20 presentation switcher which will be connected to 4 Novastar VX1000 video processor. The P20 will present to the a5000 4 EDIDs with the custom resolution and refresh rate needed (3616x768@30Hz). Is it possibile to enable mosaic on the a5000 with these resolutions? Or do I need a sync 2 card to handle the non standard resolution?
Many thanks.

Hi Luca,
I’m not sure I fully understand your setup, but as long as the outputs you want to combine into a Mosaic are EXACTLY the same resolution and refresh rate, so basically same screen devices identified through identical EDIDs, Mosaic will work across these screens. If they are connected to a single GPU, you don’t need a sync card, only if you need more than a single GPU to drive your Mosaic (so 4+ screens basically)…
The sync card has nothing to do with the resolution/refresh, it CANNOT force any resolution/refresh, it can only compensate for the small clock-drift of multiple GPUs relative to each other, over time, even if they run the exact same modeline timing…
hope this helps..
